I dreamed one night in 1984 that there should be an organization known as IAMA. Not only did the concept but also the word "IAMA" itself resonate within my body.
I later learned from a neighbor (a hospital Chaplin) in Bucks Couny, Pennsylvania, who, having seen my vanity license plate with the word "IAMA" on it, said that she had been given the word IAMA as a mantra many years before 1984 and was using it in daily meditation.
Then I learned from my erudite nephew that the word IAMA appears in the great novel Ulysses by James Joyce toward the end of the Nausicaa chapter (Bloom writing with a stick in sand).
A critical analysis states that the message contains not only Bloom himself ("I") but also the Latin root "AMA" which is love - hence "IAMA = I LOVE".
Now my own dream was beginning to make sense.
